Lily was a Scout, and a fierce and brave one as well. Scouting was her pleasure, and no one loved scouting as much as she did, besides the Snatchers Pack Alpha, Matthew. Lily thinked Matthew had made her a Scout for a reason, and Lily was proud of that. As she walked on, her nose twitched here and there, taking in all the scents of the beautiful place she was in. Perhaps if she saw a pup, she would hope they would make it out of The Willows alive or unscathed, because if they didn't, they'd be snatched. Along with being a Scout, Lily had also been tasked with changing the traps every so often, making them more difficult to be seen, and more dangerous. Two years ago, Lily had been a Lone Wolf, a pup, and she had come across these traps, not knowing why they were there, and she had gotten caught in one of them, taken captive by Matthew. Once she had grown up, to a year old, she had been made a real and true member of the pack, and when she reached two years old, her current age, she became a Scout. Since then, Lily had avoided traps and became experienced with them and their uses.
Today's trap would be more clever and interesting than the last.
Lily was searching for a good place to place her trap, and she was using an old and abandoned bear trap as her trap for today. Bear traps, poison ivy, deadly plants, human weaponry, all of those were useful traps, placed in hidden areas within the grass, were being used. A bear trap, one trap that Lily was slightly scared of. Matthew had never had her bring one to The Willows before, and this was the Scout's first time, so she had to be careful to not bring her jaws down any farther and have her tongue get caught. However, as Lily began placing down the trap, she could hear the scampering of little paws all over the grass, and she wondered if the apparent pup was a Lone Wolf or a pack member, and she also wondered if it would come across these traps. Please be careful! Lily thought, anxiety clouding over her.
This pup needed to be careful!

Lone Wolf

Post by Cleia on Jun 6, 2018 18:36:28 GMT
Cleia was such a carefree young pup, parentless, and just a Lone Wolf. As she ventured into The Willows, she had no idea there were traps around, and noticed another wolf placing a bear trap, looking at her. Instantly, Cleia stopped, worried. What if this wolf attacked her, and it looked like it was placing the traps, and the white pup could tell what kind of wolf the she-wolf was, a pack wolf, a Snatcher. "Please don't hurt me!" Cleia pleaded, turning away, about to hurry off. "I bring no harm, please don't use your traps on me!" The young she-wolf had a good amount of knowledge of all the packs. She knew of the Aspen Pack, the Cloud Pack, the Darkfangs, and the Snatchers, and she knew exactly what they did. The she-wolf seemed rather worried now that she was about to place a trap, and that Cleia was scampering about. Cleia didn't want to set a paw in any trap, and as far as she knew, they were around and hidden, and Cleia could end up getting hurt without knowing it.
Would she get hurt?
Cleia looked down, icy blue eyes scanning the ground for any sign of a trap. She could identify some odd-looking plants as poisonous plants, some human weaponry, some bear traps, and poison ivy. They were quite close to her, and some were far from her. Cleia leapt back as she noticed a bear trap in front of her, and she turned around, relieved to see no traps around, but they could be hidden, so she had to be cautious and inspect. Hopefully I don't get hurt! She thought, white fur slightly standing on end. The smell of willow trees were now a sign of danger, and Cleia would know not to approach here ever again, and she hoped she wouldn't get hurt.

Lily hoped the pup would leave, and she sighed when Cleia said she brought no harm. "To my pack, you bring harm. This is Snatchers territory, now please leave, I don't want you getting hurt!" She said, keeping her stance. When she noticed the white-furred pup now inspecting the area and exploring more, apparently ignoring her requests, worry became the only thing on Lily's mind as it built up so much. If this pup never left, she'd be taken captive and moved to the Nursery to live with the pups and be given a Mother as her mother, and she'd have adoptive littermates, but would this happen? Lily wasn't afraid to let her defensive instinct kick in, attack or chase out Cleia, maybe even tell Matthew or Reginald, the Beta, about the pup. But, a voice in the Scout's head was telling her this was just a pup unfamiliar with pack borders despite knowing about packs, so she had to have pity on the poor, homeless and parentless thing. Perhaps seeking shelter within the Snatchers was the only option. Other potential packs lived too far away, but the Aspen pack lived slightly close, but the pup was so young, traveling so far would be too much. Lily had to get Matthew for Cleia's own good and safety, despite him maybe taking her as prisoner, not knowing Lily told him about a pup in Snatchers territory to give Cleia a home.
Lily could already smell and hear Matthew, and she had known Reginald, his brother, would definitely be arriving too. It was obvious the Pack Alpha would come to her aid, respond to her. Lily had already known why. Since Lily had become two years old, it turned out Matthew had a crush on her, and it was obvious.
"Listen, kid. You need a home, so I'm going to call my Pack Alpha to get here whether you like it or not." Lily said, and she turned around, staring into the distance, barking out Matthew's name. Hopefully he doesn't think of the poor pup as an intruder. She can't live like this! She thought.
"Matthew, hurry up! A pup needs a home!"

It was always interesting to see what Lily wanted, but today, something severe was happening. Reginald, his dear brother, was busy, and so he could not bring the Beta with him. However, the scent of a Lone Wolf was highly visible, and Matthew knew that perhaps it had gotten caught in a trap, or found by Lily. What a great Scout she was if she had managed to catch a measly Lone Wolf red handed. They would not get away with anything. However, Matthew was in for a surprise when he hurried to Lily's aid. Instead of a usual adult Lone Wolf, there had been a very young pup with snowy-white fur, possibly only four, five, or three weeks old. A newcomer, maybe? However, when the Pack Alpha would normally confront, maybe attack, he had heard Lily tell him this pup needed a home, something hardly anyone came here for. No one in the Snatchers, hardly anyone, had joined by seeking a home, but were captured and then surrendered to becoming a pack member, and this was a rare occurence. A home? Matthew thought, and he looked at Cleia, admiring the pup's snowy appearance. A white wolf.
Why did Cleia come here exactly?
Sighing, Matthew sat down in front of the pup, looking down. "Now kid, I'm Matthew, Pack Alpha of the Snatchers, and one of my scouts, Lily, says you need a home. Is that true?" He asked, staring the poor thing in the icy blue eyes she possessed. If Cleia had not been wanting to have a family, and was just exploring, the pup would need to suffer the consequences. Matthew patiently awaited an answer, his hopes rising. It was rather fun and exciting to have a Lone Wolf seeking to join the Snatchers, or to join a nearby pack. The Snatchers were feared, and Matthew expected this whelp to probably join the Darkfangs instead, being how he had to admit the pack led by a fierce she-wolf meant trouble, or perhaps maybe acceptance? She-wolves were more pup-friendly, honestly. "If you ain't telling the truth, you better turn your tail and run now before I force you to join." Matthew continued, and he meant it.

Cleia had never wanted a home, she enjoyed exploring the Territories. Why was Lily being so concerned about her wellbeing, and a home? She was more confused, and slightly terrified, when the Scout ended up bringing the Snatchers' Pack Alpha, Matthew. He had asked her if she really did want a home, otherwise she'd be basically snatched if she couldn't escape in time. Cleia began asking herself if she really did need a home, but she doubted it. Living alone was fine with her. She was a Lone Wolf! It was what she was born to do, live alone, being able to survive if her parents died, and that was exactly what had happened. However, the young pup didn't want to be taken away by force and aggression, and so she had to choose to join, and basically lie. All thanks to Lily, Cleia was getting caught up in this kind of mess she didn't want. Stupid wolves being so concerned over her, thinking she needed a home when she could just survive on her own. "Y-yes." Cleia shakily answered. "My parents died, and while I could normally survive by myself, I guess I do need a home." Her second sentence revealed what her true feelings were, but she guessed that perhaps living in a new family would help. After all, a pup Cleia's age probably wouldn't survive alone, even if they wanted, despite there being tons of food sources around Maine. The Hunting Grounds were one place, located up in the Western Territories. Heh, maybe it would be a good idea. Cleia thought, her opinion of Lily and Matthew now changing. A pup my age couldn't possibly survive alone with all those predators around!
Excited and prepared for her new life as a Snatcher, Cleia jumped to her paws and followed Lily and Matthew into the Snatchers Territory, keeping a lookout for any sign of a Nursery.
