So, anyways, you may be new to making a character, and you may not know what to do. In this guide, you'll find a source of help to assist you in making a character! If you are making a first/second/third/fourth, etc. character, this is the place to go to.
1. What Breed?
As there's many kinds of wolf breeds, you may be wondering about what to pick, and this could be a hard situation. You can look at wolf breed sites like THIS to help you out. You can also look at what they look like, and decide which wolf breed makes you think it'll be the best. If you want a unique-looking wolf, you can search for kinds of wolf breeds and try to find what kind of wolf looks unique, and so on. If you're looking for a kind of big wolf, look for kinds of wolf breeds. If you're looking for small wolves, you can look for small wolf breeds. However, there's some breeds that aren't allowed. Extinct wolves are NOT allowed, and an example of some extinct wolves is the Texas wolf, the Manitoba wolf, the Direwolf, and the Hokkaido wolf. There's more extinct breeds, however. Look for a list of extinct wolf breeds if you don't know which ones are extinct, to be safe.
2. Size Matters
Another question any user new to making a character has is "What size should my wolf be?". Well, you can look for sites that have information on a wolf's average size or suitable sizes if you can't think of a size. Remember, your character can't be giant, or really tiny! One site you can use to find a wolf's average size depending on gender is THIS. This site is for a gray wolf's average size. Say you're making a character who is an Arctic Wolf. You can find a site like THIS to find the average size of an Arctic Wolf.
3. Fat or Slim?
Many wolves can be fat or slim, or skinny. However, here at Skyfangs, it wouldn't be too cool to have a really skinny or overly obese wolf. This brings us back to Section 2. While there's a required or minimum size amount, there's a required or minimum weight amount! You can look up information on a wolf breed's average weight based on gender to help. It's okay if you want a slim wolf, or a slightly fat wolf, but don't make a wolf with unrealistically high or low weight.
4. Naming Problems
Naming your character can be quite hard, and many users on Skyfangs would probably have this question: What do I name my wolf?
You can think of words to describe your wolf, like savage or aggressive. Think of an item that probably matches this personality, or is somewhat related to the traits your wolf possesses. Is your wolf cunning and stealthy? You can use Snake as a name, or Serpent. Is your wolf peaceful, angelic, or kind? Name it Angel! You can also use misspellings of real names or words, or add a letter to a real name! For example, you can add a "C" at the beginning of "Leia" and make it "Cleia"! Do you like the potential name "Crystal" but want to make it look more interesting? Replace the beginning letter "C" with a "K" and turn it into "Krystal"! You can also look for name generators that will automatically generate some names. One generator you can use for a wolf name is THIS. This generator has names for female and male wolves, making this a perfect pick. I suggest if you don't have any ideas you should probably go to that generator for name ideas.
